Close Up and Vote by Design present: Igniting Voter Agency in a Digital and Divided World

Close Up and Vote by Design present: Igniting Voter Agency in a Digital and Divided World

Vote by Design is a new civics and voter literacy project incubated at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. Explore how the Vote by Design pedagogy and practices help all learners rise above this partisan moment to become more deliberative, informed, and engaged participants in the upcoming election.

Presenters: Lisa Kay Solomon is an author, educator, and Designer in Residence at the Stanford d.school, where she focuses on bridging the disciplines of futures and design thinking, creating experiences like “Vote by Design: Presidential Edition” and The Future’s Happening. Lisa works closely with the K12 community to make futures-thinking a mainstay of 21c core curriculum, and is passionate about helping all learners.

Jeffrey Rogers is a multi-modal educator and conversation catalyst–a speaker, facilitator, and program designer who creates unique learning experiences driven by storytelling, collaboration, and play. Jeff’s goal is to empower more people to think, act, live, and lead like the future is theirs to create. Jeff has spoken at conferences and led workshops globally on futures-thinking and leadership, but his heart is still where he started: running experiential learning programs for young leaders.
